Julia Kehoe
MBA/MS Candidate 2022
Erb Institute | Business for Sustainability
With an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in Environmental and Organizational Studies, Julia now returns to U-M with the Erb Institute to pursue further studies in energy and climate policy and planning with a particular interest in navigating complex, cross-sector interests and obligations to create sustainable solutions to some of our most pressing environmental and social issues. Prior to beginning this program, Julia spent a year with a grassroots environmental organizing group in Montana working to advance clean and efficient energy in rural electric cooperatives, sustainable family agriculture and robust local food systems, and the protection of water, land, and Native rights in the face of coal, oil, and gas development. Following that experience, Julia began working for the Consortium for Energy Efficiency, where she manages key relationships with the leadership of utilities, federal government entities, nonprofits, and national labs to enable the creation and delivery of effective market strategies for efficient products, systems, and platforms. Outside of class and work, Julia enjoys cooking dinner with friends, catching her favorite bands when they’re in town, training for marathons, and working on her boxing technique.
