Joanna is currently the Director of North America Supply Chain Innovation & sustainability, at Nike. While at Michigan, she completed a Master’s Project for Kellogg Company, assessing the sustainability of their rice supply chain in Asia, and served as Director of Investments for the Michigan Social Venture Fund, the first student-run impact investing fund in the nation. Joanna spent her first summer interning at SoFi, a financial services start-up, and last summer at Nike in their Supply Chain Management MBA internship. Before graduate school, Joanna was a Senior Program Associate at the Aspen Institute in Washington, DC. During her 5+ years at the Aspen Institute, she helped found and grow the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs, a membership network of impact investors, foundations, and corporations supporting small businesses in emerging markets. Joanna received her B.A. from the University of Virginia with an interdisciplinary degree in Human Rights and is the co-founder of The Ben Topus Camp, a nonprofit overnight camp for inner-city kids.
