Amelia Harris
Olam, Future Leadership Program
Amelia is interested in sourcing for international food companies and building healthy relationships among companies, farmers and distributors around the world. Amelia discovered her passion for food origins in high school, working as the production assistant for Nourish, a PBS documentary about Farm2Table school programs. After an undergraduate degree in agriculture from Carleton College, Amelia spent four years at the Forest Stewardship Council helping companies and organizations transition to more responsible sourcing for their forest products. She also worked several seasons as a farmhand on organic farms and has sold at farmers markets for nearly a decade. At the Erb Institute, she is eager to deepen her knowledge of agricultural practices, especially those in tropical countries, and to gain the business acumen to represent private commercial interests there.
