CPRT Expert Dialogue with Judy Samuelson, Founder and Executive Director of the Aspen Institute Business & Society Program

July 28, 2021 @ 3:00 pm - 4:15 pm EDT

New Rules for Business: Why CPR is Required to Unleash a New Era of Real, Long-term Value for All Stakeholders(CPR)

Wednesday, July 28, 3:00 pm – 4:15 pm EDT

As companies are pressed to get back in the political “game,” many are trying to resolve employee concerns, primarily as an engagement or motivation issue. Yet CPR issues raised by employees can also provide insights into systemic risks, barriers to long-term value, and larger questions.

  • Why is CPR needed to shift the economy toward creating real value for all stakeholders?
  • What do companies hear when they ask their employees how to approach political influence?
  • What does corporate political influence look like when companies take a more systemic lens?
  • How can businesses respond in the near-term as they are pressed to get back in the political “game”?

To explore these questions, please join us for an interactive dialogue with Judy Samuelson, founder and executive director of the Aspen Institute Business and Society Program and author of Six New Rules of Business: Creating Real Value in a Changing World. Elizabeth Doty, Director of the CPRT, will moderate the conversation.
