Howard wants to promote environmental technologies and sustainability frameworks to developing countries, especially in Asia. During his first summer internship, he worked with the Environmental Technology Council at the College of Engineering and the Office of Technology Transfer at the University of Michigan. In the second summer, he worked with a local environmental technology consulting firm and traveled to Poyang Lake, China to conduct systems thinking research on sustainability. Prior to studying at University of Michigan, he was an independent software consultant co-founded a chemical distribution company. Howard also worked at Delta Air Lines as a software engineer for four years. Howard received a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering with emphasis in biotechnology. Howard is fluent in Mandarin Chinese
