Keiichi Ushijima is the Asia Pacific ESG & Sustainability Solutions Leader, Japan Regional Leader of Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS), and Partner at EY. EY CCaSS has 3,800+ experts globally. The team has been delivering services on SX strategy, climate change and decarbonization, bio-diversity, impact weighted accounting, EHS, business and human rights, non-financial disclosure, and assurance for over 20 years and is recognized as a leading sustainability advisor across global markets. Keiichi aims to transform society and business by supporting companies to integrate sustainability into business strategies and fostering the development of an economy that incentives long-term decision making and multi-stakeholder value creation. To realize his vision, he contributed to the International Integrated Reporting Framework issued by IIRC, was the first Japanese presenter at the 1st UN Forum on Business and Human Rights in Geneva, launched the Responsible Minerals Trade Working Group of Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA), and helped issue the Corporate Governance Codes though the Corporate Reporting Laboratory established by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Japan. He has also supported the Impact Investment Initiative for Global Health (Triple I), endorsed by the G7, and Japan’s Impact Consortium, launched by the Japanese Financial Services Agency. Prior to joining EY, he was a Global Sustainability Leader at Hitachi, one of Japan’s largest Japanese electronics companies.
Keiichi Ushijima has also served as a member of the CSR Working Group at the Tokyo Foundation Public Research and as a board of Japan Forum of Business and Society (JFBS). He received his MBA from Keio University.
