Michael Somantri

Michael is originally from Indonesia. Before joining the Erb Institute, Michael worked as a drilling engineer in an oil and gas company to develop well planning for offshore development wells. Michael came to Michigan to pivot his career to work in the intersection of business and sustainability, focusing on energy transition and decarbonization. He is an avid distance runner and just finished his first full marathon race this year.
