Richard is focusing on the financial instruments that lead to sustainable land use by real estate developers and natural resource companies. Richard’s internship at the National Parks Service resulted in a national publication on open space protection and property values. He serves as finance director for MiSo*, Michigan’s entry into the US Department of Energy’s Solar Decathlon. Richard graduated from Connecticut College, where he majored in International Relations and Economics, served as student director of the Inherit the Earth Award for Sustainable Business, and interned at an environmental NGO in Mali, West Africa. After graduation, Richard was an Investment Banking Analyst in the Natural Resources group at Bear, Stearns & Co. in New York, and finance manager for Recycle Midwest, Inc.
