Niko’s professional goal is to help shape and promote sustainable business practices—particularly in the energy and transportation industries—and his internship and project experiences at Michigan include: creating a market entry strategy for a solar energy technology start-up, and researching Best Practices in non-profit development at Ducks Unlimited, Inc. Niko previously has worked on an initiative for the Office of the Provost aimed at increasing interdisciplinary education and research in the field of environmental sustainability at the University of Michigan. Prior to coming to Michigan, Niko completed his undergraduate degree at the Free University of Berlin, in Germany, with a dual-degree B.S. in Biology and a B.A. in French Philology and then moved to New York City, where he worked in the financial services industry for four years.
