Nicholas Galvin

MBA/MS Class of 2022

Erb Institute | Business for Sustainability

Nick is excited to join the Erb Institute, where he is focusing on business collaboration and decision making for sustainability along value chains. Nick hails from Seattle, Washington, and earned a B.S. in Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry from the Huxley College of the Environment at Western Washington University. He spent over 7 years witnessing the legacy of mismanaged operations as an environmental consulting for Hart Crowser, Inc. (now Haley and Aldrich). This summer, Nick interned for the Office of Sustainability at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, where he drafted system-wide policies for sustainable procurement and participated in collaborative networks to drive change in healthcare organizations. Nick is currently the co-chair of the Peru team for Sustainability Without Borders, where he has worked to improve wellbeing through long-term partnerships and novel projects for the rural community.

Nick lives in Berkley, MI with his wonderful partner, Bree, and gracefully aging dog. In his free time, Nick can be found partaking in one of his (admittedly) too many hobbies, including hiking and backpacking, biking, cooking, climbing, soccer, skiing, sailing, scuba diving, and pretty much anything else that is outside. He is always looking to learn from his amazingly bright colleagues, have a good time with his fellow classmates, and be introduced to potentially new hobbies!
