Mike London

MBA/MS Candidate 2020

Erb Institute | Business for Sustainability

Mike is an Erb Institute student pursuing an MBA at the Ross School of Business and an MS in Sustainable Systems from the School for Environment and Sustainability at the University of Michigan. An avid problem solver with diverse interests, Mike aims to advance sustainable models for product development and life cycle management across public and private systems with particular interests in industrial ecology, renewable energy, and waste management. To achieve these goals, Mike is also participating in the Tauber Institute for Global Operations and the Design + Business Club.

Before arriving in Ann Arbor, Mike served as a U.S. Marine Corps Officer for over nine years with a specialty in logistics. During his service, Mike led organizations of various sizes, from a team of three to a unit of two-hundred, in stressful and challenging environments. With a B.S. in Systems Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy, Mike employed systems-thinking to develop logistics solutions during two combat tours to Afghanistan, the 2015 Nepal earthquake response, and several joint, multi-national training exercises in the Asia-Pacific. Prior to the start of the Fall 2017 semester, Mike will complete his Master of Public Administration degree program from the University of Nebraska Omaha in August 2017.
