As Director of Sustainability at Clarion Partners, Michele manages efforts that result in the efficient use of energy, water, and other resources; reduction of waste, pollution, and environmental degradation; and protection of occupant health. Michele has over 14 years of sustainable business experience. Previously, as Director of Sustainability at MGM Resorts International, she was responsible for the development of company-wide environmentally sustainable operations programs. At Toyota, Michele led “Process Green,” integrating environmentally sensitive design within Toyota’s 10 million sq ft U.S. real estate portfolio. Michele co-authored “High Performance Hospitality: Sustainable Hotel Case Studies,” an industry resource for hotel developers, owners, and operators published by the American Hotel and Lodging Association. Michele currently sits on the Cornell University Facility Planning and Management Advisory Council and the Anacostia Watershed Society Green Roof Advisory Board. In 2010, she was elected as a Conservation District of Southern Nevada Board Supervisor. Michele is a LEED AP and she graduated from the Southern California Leadership class facilitated by Coro in 2001. She earned a Master of Business Administration degree and a Master of Science in Natural Resources Degree from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Design and Environmental Analysis from Cornell University.
