Matt is a Managing Director with Duke Energy Renewables. He is responsible for directing all late stage wind and solar project acquisitions, equity sales, and joint ventures. Previously, he was a Director of Business Development for Catamount Energy, a developer of wind power projects. He helped grow and sell that business to Duke Energy in 2008. While pursuing his graduate degrees at Michigan, Matt managed business development and corporate finance at STM Power, Inc., a start-up manufacturer of renewable power generation equipment. At Michigan, Matt focused on finance, entrepreneurship, and sustainable energy production, and on the science, policy, and management of environmental issues and natural resources. Previously, he worked as an investment banking associate at Morgan Joseph, where he helped clients raise capital and execute strategic corporate transactions. He began his career as a management consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers. Matt holds a B.A. in Economics and German from Connecticut College. He lives with his family in Woodstock, Vermont. He enjoys being outdoors, gardening, hiking, skiing, running, and cycling. He is a member and volunteer with local and national conservation and environmental organizations.
