Mary Wroten is the Associate Director of Global Sustainability, Ford Motor Company. In this role, Mary is responsible to lead Ford’s global sustainability program and identify emerging trends, develop company-specific objectives/strategies, and work with functional organizations to drive them into regional/global operations. Mary is also leading corporate social responsibility, including efforts to eradicate human trafficking, and the publication of Ford Motor Company’s annual Corporate Sustainability Report. She is actively engaged in product plans and strategies related to Sustainable Materials, Product CO2, Life Cycle Assessment and Sustainable Mobility. Prior to this position, Ms. Wroten held a variety of engineering, strategy and sustainability positions within Ford during her 21-year tenure with the company. Ms. Wroten is also currently serving on the Responsible Business Alliance (formerly called the Electronics Industry Citizenship Coalition) Board of Directors, Conflict Free Smelter Initiate Steering Committee & Sustainable Brands Advisory Board. She received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, with a Minor in Biomedical Engineering, from Michigan State University and a Master of Science in Automotive Systems Engineering from the University of Michigan. Mary and her husband Jim are proud parents of a son and two daughters. She enjoys travel, sports, reading and family time.
