Joelene is currently pursuing a career in the energy industry with a particular interest in strategy and management consulting. Prior to graduate school, Joelene spent 7 years working in the solar industry, most recently as Director of Sales Operations at SPG Solar. Throughout this period, Joelene’s work focused mainly on project development, policy, and contract negotiations with large scale clients including Fortune 500, public sector, and utilities.

This past summer Joelene interned at Robert Bosch LLC, which is a manufacturer of innovative high-quality automotive technology, consumer goods and industrial technology products. She worked in the corporate strategy group focusing on energy and building technologies, specifically in new business unit analysis. This experience exposed Joelene to the complexities associated with market entry, product development, and strategy implementation challenges facing large organizations.

In her spare time, Joelene enjoys cooking, fitness, and traveling. In 2011, she had the opportunity to trek across Southeast Asia for 2 months, climbing volcanoes, riding elephants, and becoming a connoisseur of Thai street food.
