Ben is passionate about global food security and food safety challenges. After visiting farming communities in rural China, India, and Brazil, he is drawn to improve farmers’ productivity and reducing their environmental risks via business intrepreneurship and public-private partnership. He believes that poverty alleviation, food security, access, and quality require deep understanding of the system thinking and behavioral changes. After the his first year at Erb, Ben interned at GE Healthcare, to develop a go-to-market strategy for based-of-pyramid (BoP) medical devices. In this past summer, Ben interned with Roche China in strategic planning and conducted opus project to assess cattle supply chain’s motivation in pursuing sustainable agricultural practice in Central Brazil. Prior to joining Erb, Ben was an engineering project manager with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University. In his spare time, Ben loves running, traveling, and exploring exotic cuisine.
