Kathryn is an Executive Director of the Americana Foundation.  Before joining the Americana Foundation, Kathryn was a practicing environmental attorney who helped business and municipal clients develop proactive strategies for managing environmental challenges and opportunities. As part of the Erb Institute, Kathryn worked with a team to develop a comprehensive sustainability plan for a Cistercian monastery in Virginia. The plan covered all aspects of sustainability (land use, energy, water, toxics, solid waste, buildings and economic sustainability) and enhanced Kathryn’s interest in the complex organizational elements of implementing principles of sustainability within business organizations.
