On December 8, 2025, the Catalyst Michigan event convened state leaders, federal policy experts, representatives from academia, private industry, and the financial sector to advance Michigan’s clean energy transition.
Jointly supported by the Frederick A. & Barbara M. Erb Institute at the University of Michigan (U-M), the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy (EGLE), the Michigan Climate Investment Hub, Third Coast Strategies, LLC, and the U-M School for Environment and Sustainability (SEAS), the meeting built momentum for cross-sector collaboration on financing climate solutions in Michigan and beyond confirming Michigan’s role as a dynamic testbed for an equitable, finance-enabled shift to clean energy, framed by the Michigan Healthy Climate Plan (MI HCP) and the state’s latest greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory.
