Maia Hatchett

Maia Hatchett ('29) joined the Erb Institute with the intention of exploring circularity, water stewardship, and climate finance. Prior to coming to Michigan, she built her career at the crossroads of diplomacy and systems change — serving as a UN Observer across global treaty negotiations and facilitating multistakeholder consensus on food systems, tropical forest carbon markets, ocean conservation, and plastic pollution. At Erb, she is focused on effecting sustainability change from the inside out — bringing her policy fluency and facilitation depth into corporate supply chains, circular economy strategy, and the private-sector functions where sustainability decisions are increasingly made. Outside of school, Maia loves trying new cafes, sewing, and dancing.
