Katelyn Parsons

Katelyn is an energy nerd interested in what it takes to build and scale clean, reliable power. She has a BA in International Studies and Business from the University of Oregon, where she first became interested in how policy and markets shape real-world outcomes. Prior to grad school, Katelyn worked in operations management in the transportation industry, where she developed a strong foundation in managing people, performance, and risk in a highly regulated environment. She most recently worked in distributed solar and storage project development at ENGIE, supporting land, permitting, and project diligence, and gaining firsthand experience with how projects move forward. At Michigan, Katelyn focuses on the intersection of energy, finance, and policy, with a particular interest in grid reliability, resource adequacy, and scaling next-generation clean technologies. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, and cooking.
