Amber Van Meter

Amber Van Meter '27 (SAB Co-President and AmbassadErb) focuses her studies on Sustainable Systems and how we can apply both systems thinking and an interdisciplinary approach to climate solutions. Prior to coming to Ross, Amber worked as a park ranger and volunteer coordinator in parks in Utah, Montana, Wyoming, and California. Most recently she was working in the Office of Sustainability and Climate Change at Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, working to implement sustainability concepts into the core curriculum and making campus operations more sustainable. She is interested in storytelling and the way we talk about climate and sustainability. She is interested in waste, circular economy, and sustainable procurement. Amber is passionate about community, social justice, service, and public lands. In her free time Amber loves to camp, run, and sew! Amber served as SAB VP of Communciations in 2025-26 and as an AmbassadErb, and SAB Co-President for 2026-27!
