Len Middelton

Len Middleton is a Teaching Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business, University of Michigan. With a background rooted in the energy sector, Len brings deep expertise in environmental policy, sustainability, and business strategy to his teaching across undergraduate, MBA, and Executive MBA programs. He has a long-standing history of guiding MAP (Multidisciplinary Action Projects) teams, including leading the first team to develop a plan for the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) in 2002 and supporting CDP’s global expansion with the help of the Erb Institute.

Len has established partnerships with leading environmental organizations such as The Rainforest Foundation, Rainforest Expeditions, Treemetrics, Habitat for Humanity, Women for Women International, Landmine Survivor Network, and World Resources Institute. Currently, he collaborates with the University of Exeter on Trek, a Net Zero financial tool, and oversees MAP teams contributing to the Global Tipping Points program (global-tipping-points.org) on how to achieve Net Zero goals, which will be featured at Brazil COP30.

Len maintains strong ties with the United Nations Climate Champions, the facilitators of COP meetings, and is active in the entrepreneurial community as an advisor, investor, board member, and sustainable farmer. His work centers on integrating environmental stewardship and innovative business practices to drive positive global impact.
