Andres Garcia

Student Program Specialist

Erb Institute

Andres Garcia joined the Erb Institute in 2026 with a passion for sustainability and conservation. Originally from Mexico but raised in Michigan, Andres earned his degree in Environmental Studies and Sustainability from Michigan State University. He began his career in the federal government, where he spent six years with the U.S. Forest Service working on conservation programs and serving as a key point of contact for international partners and visitors. Through this work, Andres developed a strong commitment to environmental justice and climate change. He is excited to bring his experience and passion to the Erb Institute and contribute to a collaborative, mission-driven community.

In his spare time, Andres enjoys exploring the outdoors, especially visiting National Parks and hiking, playing video games, and spending time with friends, family, and his dog, Luna.
