Students in the Erb Institute are able to receive funding from the Ross School of Business, School for Environment and Sustainability, and the Erb Institute, as well as additional independent scholarships and fellowships.

Erb Institute Scholarship

The Erb Institute awards scholarships to entering students with the objective of recruiting a student population with diverse backgrounds and exceptional records of professional, academic and community accomplishments. New students are eligible to apply if they have applied to both Ross and SEAS, and have been admitted to at least one school. The scholarship application cycle is from November through June.

Awards are made on a rolling basis, so students are advised to apply as soon as they are eligible. Awards are disbursed during a student’s third year in the MBA/MS program and are intended to cover tuition.

Erb Funding Opportunities for Admitted Students

Several funding opportunities are available through the Erb Institute for current students. We support a wide range of activities that promote our students’ intellectual, personal and professional development. Erb will fund high-impact student initiatives, including short-term, hands-on field experiences, competing in case competitions, prototyping for social enterprise start-ups and reporting on international conferences. The Erb Institute also offers funding support for students who pursue internships with NGOs, governmental organizations, start-ups and social enterprises. Students who demonstrate exceptional service to the Erb community are eligible for additional financial awards.

All students admitted to Ross and SEAS are automatically considered for scholarships by each school. It’s highly recommended that you reach out to each admissions team if you have specific scholarship questions and funding concerns. Students are also eligible for additional funding opportunities through the Rackham Graduate School, as well as individual fellowships and independent scholarships.
