Before joining the Erb Institute, Valerie worked in philanthropy and municipal energy policy. Most recently, she led the grant portfolio at Miami’s community foundation and invested in over 100 nonprofits guiding the future of one of the fastest-growing US cities. Previously, Valerie led new business development at a national nonprofit that partnered with cities to achieve their clean energy goals. Valerie graduated from the University of Florida with a dual degree in political science and journalism. She is a LEED Green Associate.
