Chief Development Officer

Scott is currently working as the Chief Development Officer at 7X Energy. Previously, he worked as a Deal Associate in the solar group at MMA Renewable Ventures, a company that coordinates the financing, installation, and operation of renewable energy systems and energy efficiency projects. Prior to joining MMA RV, Scott worked in the Commercial Operations group with Clipper Windpower. As an Erb student, Scott held summer internships with Gas South and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. He also completed an independent study with GE Energy, and was a contributing author to the Pew Center’s October 2006 report Getting Ahead of the Curve: Corporate Strategies That Address Climate Change. Prior to graduate school, Scott co-launched the Biomass Coordinating Council, a non-profit dedicated to unifying the biomass industry. Scott also worked for three years in the socially responsible investment industry with Calvert Funds and Progressive Asset Management, where his responsibilities included investment management, sales, operations, and social research. Scott graduated, cum laude, from Vanderbilt University with a B.S. in Human & Organizational Development and a B.A in English. Scott has lived in Brazil and Spain, and speaks Portuguese and Spanish.
