In 2017 Rebecca became the External Relations Manager for Shell’s newly created New Energies business, which includes new fuels such as hydrogen and biofuels, Integrated Energy Solutions which includes wind and solar, and Digital Solutions. Formerly Rebecca had roles as the Manager of Environmental Performance Improvement as well as Portfolio Advisor for Shell Canada’s Heavy Oil business. Prior to that, she was the Sr. Sustainable Development Integrator for Shell Upstream Americas where she was responsible for designing and executing the sustainable development and social performance strategy for the region. Rebecca earned her MBA and Master of Science from the Erb Institute. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Duke University and a Master of Engineering in Underwater Acoustics from Penn State. Rebecca initially worked as an acoustical engineer for a military defense contractor on various sonar and noise quieting projects.
