Senior Analyst - Strategic Planning

Jessica works at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), where she leads strategic planning for the Wind & Water Power Program. This role involves setting R&D priorities, developing 5-year plans for the Program, and tracking program performance against goals and milestones. Prior to NREL, Jessica was with GE Wind for four years, where she worked in a variety of roles through the GE Renewable Energy Leadership Program, both domestically and in China. Jessica was an EPA Star Fellow while at University of Michigan, where her primary research interests & internships focused on life cycle analysis and sustainable food supply chains, with projects at The Coca-Cola Company and at Wal-Mart. Prior to graduate school, Jessica worked at RTI International as an environmental consultant. She earned her BSPH in Environmental Sciences from UNC Chapel Hill, where she was a Morehead-Cain scholar. Jessica now lives in Washington, DC with her husband, Nick Powers (PhD’10).
