Erb Institute | Business for Sustainability

Before Michigan, I spent five years in Kansas City working as a design engineer for electric power line projects. This experience sparked my interest in renewable energy, and I recognized that I wanted to transition to a strategy or development role in the sector. I knew that an MBA education would complement my technical skills and assist me with this transition. The various opportunities for students interested in energy and sustainability drew me to Ross. While attending the admitted students weekend (GBR), I engaged with the current Erb students and decided to apply for the Erb Institute dual-degree with the School for Environment and Sustainability. I have been pleasantly surprised by the number of opportunities to make an impact as a student, but most importantly, by the quality of students that UM and Erb attract.
