Sr. Manager II, Sustainability Strategy – 3R Sustainability

Location: Remote (Hybrid optional)

Overview: This role is focused on both client delivery as well as internal team development and management. The Senior Manager II of Sustainability Strategy is a client-facing role that will focus on corporate sustainability and its facets including materiality assessments, data collection, strategy creation, and internal and external reporting. As Senior Manager II of Sustainability Strategy, you will provide expert guidance, oversight, and delivery to our client projects, while supporting the oversight and achievement of 3R’s business objectives and team development.

Roles/Responsibilities: 

• Develop sustainability programs to address areas of greatest impact across a diverse range of client profiles
• Conduct double materiality assessments and associated workstreams for multinational companies
• Effectively collaborate with a range of clients to establish and implement sustainability strategies
• Identify opportunities for improvement and prioritize pathways to achieve goals/close gaps.
• Guide clients’ sustainability teams and leadership through sustainability programming, education, and awareness.
• Deliver tasks on time and within budget and assist project managers to ensure that projects perform against targets and deadlines.
• Support collaboration with clients through the development of tools and deliverables.
• Support business development, including proposal writing, and in the development of work plans, schedules, and budgets for the delivery of client projects.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for multiple projects at once, providing timely reviews, feedback, and education to project teams
• Generate case studies, articles, presentations, and videos related to work as needed for business development.
• Work to help drive overall execution, mission, and efficacy of the sustainability consulting program and team.
• Collaborate with other senior team members and direct reports to facilitate performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
• Support the internal continuous improvements of 3R’s sustainability consulting processes and tools

• Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s project management systems. Experience in Smartsheet is a plus
• Master’s degree in business, sustainability, or related field
• 7-10 years of related professional experience
• Experience in the consulting field working with public multinational companies
• Management system background helping companies translate sustainability strategy into operations
• Proven and demonstratable experience managing and training others
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
