Overview: The Senior Impact Associate will play a vital role in supporting CGC’s mission by contributing to the development and implementation of strategies that ensure efficient and impactful clean energy investments. This position will support the Impact and Investment teams by conducting data analysis, facilitating community engagement, and contributing to the development of strategic investment frameworks. The Senior Impact Associate will also play a key role in coordinating predevelopment activities and managing relationships with stakeholders to support projects that generate economic and environmental benefits to communities.  This position will be responsible for ensuring Impact Team’s integration into organizational systems such as CRM and portfolio management.  

 It is highly preferred that this position is based in Washington DC Currently reporting to the Senior Director of Equitable Investments and Impact.  

Roles/Responsibilities: 

 Impact Measurement and Reporting 

  • Assist the Impact and Investment teams in analyzing project data and evaluating the success of investments in generating environmental and economic benefits for communities.
  • Contribute to the development of frameworks and tools that integrate community benefits, economic outcome, and GHG reduction into investment strategies.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including GHG reduction and community benefits. Prepare progress updates and data reports for internal and external stakeholders.  

 Municipal Investment Fund Integration 

  • Support the Municipal Investment Fund and inform the predevelopment grants strategy including ensuring alignment with CGC’s direct investment objectives.
  • Collaborate with community-based organizations to identify project opportunities and facilitate partnerships with local developers. 

 Stakeholder Engagement and Community Outreach 

  • Coordinate community engagement activities, including stakeholder consultations, workshops, and educational outreach.
  • Provide support for the Environmental Justice Advisory Committee by preparing data and progress updates. 

 Systems Integration 

  • Ensure Impact Team’s integration into organizational systems such as Salesforce and other portfolio management requirements.

  • English language fluency required
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar data management systems
  • A dedication to climate finance
  • A sense of humor, passion for change, and an eye towards innovation
  • Authorization to work in the United States of America
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Travel occasionally to support programs
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer required 

Education & Experience:

  • The Senior Impact Associate should have the following qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in environmental science, green finance, sustainability, public policy, or a related field (Master’s preferred). 
  • 3-5 years of experience in renewable energy, environmental justice, or sustainable development. 
  • Demonstrated commitment to advancing equity and inclusion in clean energy investments. 
  • Experience in project management and familiarity with clean energy technologies and regulatory frameworks.
