Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain a work plan, schedule, and budget for projects in your portfolio while growing momentum, support and impact through project steering committees.
  • Lead and support special projects as directed.
  • Provide technical assistance to County departments and to local communities to begin or strengthen sustainability programs.
  • Identify opportunities for funding or projects that align with the mission and goals of the County and the Sustainability & Innovation Division.
  • Support grant application processes, including researching grants, working with internal and external partners to meet proposal deadlines, developing budgets and completing applications.

Qualifications: 

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Business Administration, Urban or Regional Planning, Economics, Public Administration, Community Development, Environmental Science Studies, General Studies, or a closely related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the job’s essential duties may also be considered.

Experience Required: Three (3) years of full-time professional work experience in urban planning, strategic planning, environmental justice, sustainability, management consulting, project management, process improvement or a closely related area. Experience in a public agency is preferred.
