Overview: Within Sustainability Climate & Nature, we are working to realize our ambition through the implementation of Tetra Pak Approach to Nature. This approach was developed based on the results of the assessment of our impacts and dependencies on nature and contains quantitative targets and a clear set of actions to reduce our negative impacts and increase our positive impacts on nature. The focus of the approach is on nature, in particular on biodiversity and water, but it is closely linked with our ambition on climate, circularity, social sustainability and food systems. We are now looking for a Nature Manager (Upstream Value Chain) who will lead and coordinate the implementation of Tetra Pak’s nature-related targets and initiatives with suppliers. The Nature Project Lead will report to the Director Nature.
This is a permanent position based in Lund (Sweden) or Modena (Italy). Other locations will be considered in case of profile match.
Roles/Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice for the deployment of nature-related targets and actions in Tetra Pak’s supply chain.
- Monitor progress on the deployment of nature targets and actions.
- Monitor Tetra Pak supply chain nature impacts and risks and supplier performance in addressing these.
- Review policies and procedures related to nature-impacts in the supply chain.
- Contribute to the development of environmental due diligence in the supply chain
- Lead targeted supplier engagement related to nature topics
- Conduct capacity development to internal stakeholders and suppliers on nature-related issues.
- Contribute to ESG Reporting and communications related to supply chain and sustainable sourcing.
- Lead engagement with external stakeholders/initiatives related to Tetra Pak supply chain (e.g. sustainability certification initiatives).
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in biology, ecology, forestry, environmental science or similar
- At least 5 years of experience working on sustainable production or sourcing of forestry, agricultural and/or mining-related commodities.
- Deep understanding of biodiversity-related issues in the production of forestry-, agricultural and/or mining-related commodities.
- Experience and/or knowledge of sustainability and certification standards.
- Good knowledge of legal requirements related to sustainable sourcing and due diligence.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in English.
