Website Fractal Agriculture

Location: Fractal is a remote first company with offices in San Francisco. We are open to applications across the United States with a slight preference for locations where Fractal has existing team members (Minneapolis, Seattle, the Greater Midwest, Boston, or San Francisco)

The Go-to-Market Strategy Intern will have the opportunity to meaningfully shape Fractal’s strategy in scaling one of the first regenerative agriculture impact funds across the US. This includes working across Sales, Marketing, and Partnerships functions to design and build
Fractal’s GTM engine focused on sourcing regenerative farmers and partners while building the category of farmland equity capital.
This person will report directly into our Go-to-Market Lead and work alongside our CEO, Sales Lead, and Partnerships Lead. This is a full-time summer position (12 weeks to be negotiated) with the potential for both ongoing part-time work and full-time employment.

The right person for this job is someone who wants: exposure to the frontlines of regenerative agriculture, an understanding of what it takes to generate deal-flow within an impact fund, an opportunity to build experience within a fast-paced GTM organization. The ideal candidate is someone who is self-driven, intensely collaborative, and is a quick learner as it relates to both the domain (agriculture and finance) and work content (product marketing, partnerships, and sales enablement). Our expectation is that this person will have the most real and hands-on internship in their class. If this is a successful internship, we favor someone who would be open to part-time employment following this internship during their second year and/or someone who would want to at least explore full-time employment in the future.

The GTM Strategy Intern will be responsible for leading up to two projects listed below. These projects may change with the needs of the business.

  • Building a Scalable Direct-to-Farmer Marketing Strategy: What does a holistic paid digital marketing approach look like for Fractal, understanding we have a highly targeted customer segment (professionally-minded regenerative farmers, over 55, with a limited digital footprint)?
  • Honing Partnership Strategy Targeting Farm Financial Consultants: What does Fractal’s partnership playbook look like in terms of sourcing and activating farm financial consultants (i.e. fractional CFOs, financial planners, and capital planning consultants), understanding that they are highly incentivized to refer Fractal, yet lack any type of digital presence or organizing body?
  • Establishing Fractal as a Category Leader: How can Fractal emerge as a category leader in a highly nascent and undefined industry? How can we build a loyal and highly engaged customer base that is centered on decades-long customer relationships similar to that of Edward Jones and other advisory firms in more mature industries?

Qualifications: We encourage candidates with many or most of the below experiences to apply.

  • Some product marketing, partnerships, or sales experience (or demonstrated learning and commitment to the subject if no direct experience)
  • Interest in agriculture and/or fintech is a plus
  • Experience with Excel / Google Sheets, CRM, Powerpoint

Application next steps: Please email Harrison Rogers at with a resume

Compensation: Pay: $12,000 ($1,000/week, 12 weeks) + supplemental university internship funding

  • We have worked with university program offices for this internship to qualify for Erb Institute, Zell Lurie, and Business+Impact funding.
