As an ESG Reporting Senior Associate, you will join the Environmental, Social, and Governance team, which supports Fannie Mae’s strategic goal of becoming a company globally recognized in ESG. Meeting this goal requires a strong reporting function and cross-enterprise data sourcing and management. This role will support regular ESG reporting activities informed by external ESG standards and Fannie Mae’s key ESG issues, as well as the integration of data and controls into reporting. S/he will work with associates, managers, directors, and VPs to coordinate ESG activities.

Responsibilities

The ESG Reporting Senior Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Develop and update reporting timelines and requirements, ensuring awareness and accountability on key project milestones among internal partners.
  • Gather qualitative and quantitative information from internal partners across the enterprise.
  • Collaborate within a small team to integrate that information into reports for external audiences.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders to ensure that reports meet the business, regulatory, and stakeholder needs.
  • Review reports for accuracy (e.g. fact checking) and completeness (e.g. all relevant partners have reviewed).
  • Grow and maintain a strong understanding of ESG reporting, disclosure, and regulatory best practices.

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • 2 years of relevant work experience, such as managing projects, ideally reporting projects or similar

Desired Experience

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent
  • Familiarity with ESG reporting standards and frameworks
  • Familiarity with housing finance and Fannie Mae’s role in the market
  • Demonstrated experience managing concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated capacity to manage ambiguity with constructive questions and clear communication
  • Proven ability to translate strategic plans into tactical daily actions
  • Proven ability to complete projects in cross-functional teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills across business and technology, with experience communicating product visions in a compelling way to stakeholders at all levels

Skills

    • Adept at managing project plans, resources, and people to ensure successful project completion
    • Relationship management skills including managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors
    • Communication skills including writing, editing, documenting conversations, and presenting
    • Experience gathering accurate information to explain concepts and answer critical questions
    • Experience managing changes to documents, Sharepoint sites, and other files to enable collaboration and ensure teams are working from the latest version
