CPRT Expert Dialogue with the World Benchmarking Alliance on CPR, Finance & the UN Sustainable Development Goals

September 2, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:15 pm EDT

A CPRT Expert Dialogue with Emilie Goodall and Pratik Desai of the World Benchmarking Alliance

The World Benchmarking Alliance was formed in 2018 to measure and incentivize progress toward the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by enabling investors, civil society, governments and consumers to credit leading companies. Their global industry-specific benchmarks include standards for corporate political engagement that will likely be harder to meet in the US than in other developed countries. How can US-based companies best respond?

Please join us on September 2nd for an Expert Dialogue with Emilie Goodall and Pratik Desai of the World Benchmarking Alliance, where we will explore:

  • How can the WBA’s benchmarks help companies be recognized for advancing the SDG’s?
  • Why do WBA benchmarks include standards for corporate political engagement and how will these affect US companies?
  • How can companies learn more as the benchmarks are being developed?

The Corporate Political Responsibility Taskforce (CPRT) provides forums, foresight and frameworks to help companies better align their political influences with their commitments to values, purpose, sustainability and stakeholders. Our Expert Dialogues are in-depth, recorded conversations where our Expert Affiliates, Stakeholder Advisors, Network Partners and other colleagues share their expertise and answer questions about pressing CPR issues.
