CPRT Expert Dialogue: CPR & Climate Policy Mapping: Tracking “Scope 4” Emissions

September 9, 2021 @ 1:30 pm - 2:45 pm EDT

CPR & Climate Policy Mapping: Tracking “Scope 4” Emissions
A CPRT Expert Dialogue with Dylan Tanner and Kendra Haven of InfluenceMap

We have seen increasing shareholder attention to companies’ climate impact and a sharp rise in net zero emissions commitments. Despite these advances, might companies be undermining their positive actions through their political influence?

Please join us on September 9 from 1:30-2:45 pm ET for our expert dialogue with Dylan Tanner and Kendra Haven of InfluenceMap. Dylan, Kendra and CPRT Director, Elizabeth Doty, will explore:

  • What are “Scope 4” emissions and why do they matter? How big is business’ influence on US climate policy?
  • Where is there misalignment between companies’ stated commitments & their actual influence on climate policy?
  • What can companies do to support policies aligned with a 1.5o C goal?

The Corporate Political Responsibility Taskforce (CPRT) provides forums, foresight and frameworks to help companies better align their political influences with their commitments to values, purpose, sustainability and stakeholders. Our Expert Dialogues are in-depth, recorded conversations where our Expert Affiliates, Stakeholder Advisors, Network Partners and other colleagues share their expertise and answer questions about pressing CPR issues.
