Erb Students Get a Voice at U.N. Climate Change Conference

Erb students Miguel Sossa, Dan Gerding and Erb alum, Gabriel Thoumi, worked to create and gain approval for an official panel event at the United Nation’s global climate change convention in Durban, South Africa on professional standards in carbon markets. The panel was co-presented by the Greenhouse Gas Management Institute and the International Forest Carbon Association with panelists from Terra Global Capital and other organizations.

Understanding core values first step in climate change debate

Professor Hoffman was recently a keynote speaker at “Paved with Good Intentions: Righting the Course for Corporate Citizenship,” a conference hosted by Interbrand at Harvard on December 1-2. While there he spoke with IQ Interbrand Corporate Citizenship about how to make progress in a world polarized between Left and Right and also addressed related issues in corporate culture. “The culture you create determines the success you have, and when you try to integrate new or emergent issues like corporate citizenship or sustainability, it has to fit the culture. It has to work internally, and that affects who they engage and how they engage.”
